"Nguntju" means Mother in the Luritja language and i was kindly given permission to use this as the title for this work by Elders.

An image created to challenge ongoing beliefs about our Indigenous people who were considered part of the Flora and Fauna Act by the Australian Government. Racism and genocide were embedded in the policies that encouraged mistreatment and misunderstanding of the original inhabitants of Australia.

It is up to the white people of this country to listen carefully to what all Indigenous people have to say and allow space for healing and growth.

Several of these prints have been donated to Indigenous groups to raise money for their chosen causes.
